Olivier Gagliardini is a senior scientist in the ice-flow modelling group of IGE and professor at the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA). He is mainly interested in the processes that control the flow of glaciers and ice-sheets, among them the friction at the base of glaciers and its coupling with hydrology. He is a developer, a user and the coordinator of the users community of the Elmer/ice flow model. In the SAUSSURE project, he will work on the modelling at the scales of the cavity and of the glacier. He is leading WP3.
