Adrien GILBERT

Adrien’s research topics focus on modeling glacier response to climate variability with physically detailed approaches in order to assess glacier thermal and dynamics changes. He is a numerical modeler specialized in surface mass and energy balance, thermodynamics and ice mechanics. He combined field observations and modeling approaches to highlight relevant physical processes in terms of climatic impact on the glacier. He has recently developed new coupling approach between subglacial hydrology and glacier sliding that will be used in the SAUSSURE project. He will be hired as a the post-doc of the project and mainly working on WP3.
