Andrea WALPERSDORF

Andrea Walpersdorf is a senior scientist at ISTerre in the Seismic cycle and transient deformation team. She is working on precise positioning using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) for transient deformations related to the seismic cycle but also to glacier flow, and to determine the slow deformation of the French Alps. She is the director of the French National Seismic and Geodetic network RESIF and she is also teaching at the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA). In the SAUSSURE project, she is in charge of the continuous and high resolution measurements of the surface deformation of the glacier by GNSS, coordinating the installation and maintenance of the GNSS network as well as the data analysis.
