Argentière Glacier, Mont-Blanc

The main objective of the first SAUSSURE fieldwork campaign was the deployment of pressure sensor and inclinometers in 5 deep boreholes. In parallel, a number of other measurements have been deployed or maintained during this campaign, such as the positioning of 50 10m-long ablation stakes with will allow measuring ablation but also emergence velocity in the vicinity of the 5 boreholes. In parallel, a new surface DEM was obtained by flying the UAV over the whole glacier.
