Christian Vincent is senior scientist at IGE in the glaciology and hydrology mountain group. He is involved in research programs (European program and regional programs) relative to glaciological studies, hydrological studies and natural hazards studies. The main purposes of his research concern the relationships between climate change and glaciers, ice-flow process, natural hazards connected to glacial lakes or seracs. He creates the GLACIOCLIM observatory (network of glaciological observations covering glaciers in France, in Bolivia, Equator and Antarctica) in 2002 with Patrick Wagnon. He is the PI of the SAUSSURE project.
